Who are we? What are we about at Farmacy Nutrition? Glad you asked.

Farmacy Nutrition's main focus is to educate and support people with their lifestyle through a nutrient dense, whole foods diet.

Alexandra Gallus, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) helps clients master one of the most important prerequisites for good health: a balanced diet. Whether clients hope to lose weight, compete in a sporting event or manage a chronic illness, their eating habits can mean the difference between failure and success.

Born and raised in California, Alexandra has always had a love for the outdoors and nature. Born into a family of dentists, Alex knew teeth by their numbers and what a cavity was before she learned how to ride a bike.

Alex became attentive to what she was eating by middle school when she realized that she was allergic to a handful of items she would eat at her friend’s house; no more chicken nuggets for this girl. A gluten and dairy allergy could have been devastating news, especially for an Italian, but it spurred her creativity and she quickly fell in love with cooking and baking. By high school, she was creating her own cookbooks and constantly sharing new recipes with family and friends.

A Grass Valley native, Alex pursued her passion for dentistry at The University of Pacific, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2012. After graduating and working with multiple dental offices, Alex started to think about ways to bridge the gap between dentistry and nutrition. Recognizing that there's a large correlation to nutrition and dentistry but little to no nutritional education for dentists, Alex started Farmacy Nutrition.

Alex married her husband, Jeremy, in 2015, and they live in West Sacramento. When she’s not working as a dental hygienist or at Farmacy Nutrition, Alex is traveling and sightseeing as much as possible. She loves being outdoors, cycling, swimming, cooking and visiting friends around the world.

Your smile is so important.

Becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist is one of the reasons I became a nutritionist. Western Medicine has a done a great job of separating your oral health from the rest of your body when, in reality, they are tightly intertwined. Conditions, like diabetes and vitamin deficiency, present in the mouth before other symptoms. Thinking of removing your amalgam fillings? Let’s chat.
